I hope he does.Brings something different.Looking at Liam Dicko's record on fitness and goalscoring over the last 3 years I think the club would be taking a real chance with him.Looks like he's been working hard to get some level of fitness.Not sure how long he will need to get properly fit?I think he also needs to calm down on the partying( Phil Sproson explained this is why he's had so many clubs- 16 at the last count).Good luck to the lad if we sign him up.

 

One issue we won't have with Dickinson is goalscoring. Excellent footballer. The fitness and partying issues that you mention may be the problem

I agree it would be interesting to hear Jacko's views as they may have cocked it up in the end, but I can't think of a time in the modern era where Newcastle were as vibrant as they were under KK

Chuffed Dickinson looks set to be signing for us especially after the help we have given him in getting back to fitness. Hopefully he repays us by having a top season on the pitch.

Our physio is well chuffed with Dicko's pre-season efforts and fitness, SO its up to him now to prove himself to MA and earn a contract through our pre-season training regime......Good luck D***'o..

We have a full time qualified fitness man at VP and then our own OVF fitness expert comes along and decides the man is deemed in his opinion a risk.......:rolleyes:........If he proves his fitness and is given a contract i think i will judge MA over you Mr Pessimistic..

Dickenson after his pre-season is hoping to get a short contract until January with an 'option' as he feels his fittest in 4 yrs......Griff starts his pre-season at Orient BUT he is hopeful of a move back to Vale.......;)

When Dickinson plays, he will win games. Haldane didn't. Lee Maathews/Michael Walsh would be a better comparison.

Matthews and Walsh were injury prone before we signed them , Haldane suffered a serious injury while playing for this club and deserved to be looked after , just as Stoke did with Delap and Sidibe (which was admirable).We suffered a few years back from signing too many "bad backs" but Dickinson may be worth the risk provided the terms are right.

Seems Dickinson, Pope and and Dodds having abit of banter on twitter this afternoon.. Seems Pope thinks Dicko is abit over weight.. Not surprising
