My fave lines are and we have never heard this before. "Micky will have his work cut out to build a side capable of pushing on at the next level," admitted the chairman.

I've been critical of him in the past but think that this is great news

Should wait until at least the start of the season because if we start struggling, which is possible being in a new league we might need to sack him and it would be very costly and he's on good money.

Could be wrong but what I'm reading into that is the budget still isn't going to be as much as people were expecting after PW's announcement regarding a 'significant increase'. Rotherham and Gillingham will still have a lot more to play with than us amongst other teams like Wolves, Preston etc. To achieve anything impressive next season I think Adam's is going to have to pull off another minor miracle.

I wouldn't get sucked into the belief that other clubs budgets were massively different to ours. Our January dealings wouldn't have exactly been buttons - a sorely missed league 1 goal machine, a championship player and was Purse captain at Plymouth?

A year on year rolling contract is exactly what is needed. If micky was out of contract at the end of this season what do people think is going to happen? Hes not exactly going to leave is he?

 

Give him a year, lets see what he can do in league one. He's owed that at least!
