People will harp on about past players, but surely there are no disadvantages to signing Akpo?

Imho Pope, Hughes, Dodds, Williamson and Akpo would be good for next year. All this 'they must have pace' is rubbish

That's the thing we can only speculate but the final decision comes down to Micky. I am sure he knows what he wants. But fans shouldn't bite in anycase at fans speculating. But if anyone can drill the best out of akpo it will be Micky. However, the strikeforce will be fairly old by then and I can't help but feel we will need a younger strikeforce upfront with Pope and Hughes aswell as obviously Ben Williamson who is only 24/25 next season. A very fast pacey young striker would be on my cards.

He is probably still a decent player but I just don't think he's what we need if we were bringing in a forward I'd want a pacey striker who can run with the ball to compliment pope

I heard today, that Watford are looking at Williamson.

The problem here is that, yet again, we all think we are football scouts.

 

If Akpo could reproduce what he did for us first time id love to have him back. However, he left 7 years ago.

Unless people have scouted him recently im not sure how they can judge whether or not he will improve us.
