Season Tickets: availability; prices

It's now illegal to charge more than the actual cost of using a card. It has been since the beginning of April. It's reckoned this should be about 20p for a debit card and 2% for a credit card. As you say, a 0% credit card and you can pay off over 12 months and be laughing.

I also think the Vale should push the pay-up-front-for-next-season deal which they have done for ages. A number of folk will be getting the 2013-14 ST at this season's price because of that and you pay over 10 months. If you get paid monthly a DD or something like £30 a month is a lot easier to find than £300 in one go. Although I must admit I never follow the argument about only having three weeks to find the money - did no one know they were going to buy a season ticket before today then?

The cost of a Vale ST is the equivalent of about 2 pints a week over the year. Good value if you ask me!

On the queue with the new phone system. Hope 0871 numbers aren't expensive. Come back Ted, all is foregiven. I'm hoping as a season ticket holder I won't have to mess about sending in the last match stub to get the discount.

Can't they get some Quo as the music?

When I've phoned Joke for my wife, at least they say where you are in the queue and you can decide whether to jack it in.

I suppose it gives me a chance to moan :D

Giving up. 10 mins. Queues at the pub, turnstiles, loos. The price of success.

I don't think it's pricey at all. Anyone saying we havent got much time to save up (i.e. one wage day)......well Ive been saving for 8 months!.....why can't others?

Pay on the day is surely upped to persuade people to buy season tickets and also to take advantage of larger away followings.

£13.00 Odd for DIV 3 Football is ok by me.

ONE QUESTION : If you pay by Debit Card at the ticket office do you STILL PAY AN ADMIN? FEE?

I think it's 3% for a Debit card BHF.

Obviously wasn't taken into consideration that two thirds of the local community are unemployed.

I think the season tickets are about right.

Don't really like the individual prices though. £22 minimum is expensive, and could push casuals even further away. People are listing prices for other clubs, but listing the highest price makes absolutely no sense. The minimum is far more relevant. I've checked a few of those clubs, and the minimum prices were significantly less in each case. You can get into the Ricoh Arena and Bramall Lane for less than it costs to get into Vale Park. It's too expensive.

But what if at the start of this season, you didn't know that by the end of May we'll have 14000 extra Season ticket holders and the only way you'll get in is by suddenly having to find £300 odd.
