Ryan obviously seemed like a bit if a stroppy one and of course nobody is bigger than the club.

 

However, in my opinion was one of the best midfielders we have had in a long time and would be one who would be quality in League 1.

Our loss is someone elses gain. IF they can manage him effectively.

 

If they can get him to close his ****ter account. Just think, in the days before ****ter, he'd have probably missed that Bristol Rovers game for missing the team meal, but wouldn't have had anywhere to vent like he did afterwards and he'd probably still be in a job now!

That's a shame. Ryan is a very good player and was having a good season and he could certainly improve the team on the pitch.

 

However, the Bristol Rovers incident was not a one off and for the harmony of the team I think this is the right decision. Good luck Ryan.

Not necessarily! Usually contracts are settled up like this when its been mutually agreed that a player will leave and they have another club lined up. I suspect we will shortly hear he has signed for another club.

 

Burge clearly was unrepentant about his part in the debacle at Bristol. After due reflection he should have been mature enough to realise his part in it and issued an apology. The fact that he didn't suggests he has an ego bigger than his talent and that he felt he did not need Port Vale.

 

Shame, but time to move on I think.
