We dont need someone to sit infront of the back four, we are playing sides that come to vale park and sit back. Simply play a midfield that has morsy loft and burge in it and your fine. There is no need for Griff. Give him a few games and people will be asking why we signed him.

i hope this news about griff is not serious , he is not what we need . try playing morsy instead of andrew for a start . surely we need a winger who isn't devoid of ideas to improve the supply in the box.

 

IF it is Griff then im guessing that Morsy has been one of the people he was on about him not recognising some players,need to take a look at themselves etc.Has he been made a scapegoat?

Bringing back Griffith (possibly) and sitting him in front of the back 4, would hardly be a positive step as far as attacking play is concerned; it would appear to be a return to the 'play-for-a-draw-and-see-if-we-can-pinch-a-goal' style that Adams used before abandoning ship and heading off to SUFC.

However, while providing no entertainment, little excitement, a slow tempo and a cure for insomnia, it did get us to the top/top3 and keep us there.

While signing Griffith would certainly underwhelm me, I'm sure most (if not all) Vale fans would take 11 boring games, if it meant promotion.

On a serious note if we do re-sign Griff I will lose a bit of respect for Adams. The reason we are getting run over in midfield every game is because we are playing 4-2-4, not because we are missing the most negative minded, least skillful player in Vale's recent history who has proved he is not good enough to move up a division.

I'm pretty sure Morsy playing instead of griff is one if the reasons we were so good at the start of the season he defends just as well but he can pass and has a decent shot

Who ever it is may be coming here for their off-field influence as much as anything else.

 

It's a mental problem more than anything as players seem to be underperforming compared to earlier in the season - fatigue, feeling the pressure, loss of confidence.

 

Griff was a motivator despite his limitations as a player....if it is even him of course.
