Will 78 points be enough?

I think 78 points will be close, it will be either 3rd or 4th Place

I'm going

Gillingham

Rotherham

Vale

Northampton

Burton

Exeter

Cheltenham

Can we take 11 points from the next 7 games?

I would expect us to beat Aldershot making us 70 from 40.

I am looking at 10 points from the last 6 games to take us to 80.

3 winnable away games-Chesterfield(the toughest), Rochdale(the easiest), Wycombe(unpredicatable)

3 hard home games-Cheltenham(never easy),Burton and Northampton(both poor away records and both may have peaked too soon).

The sooner we hit 70 the sooner it puts pressure on other teams.

It was a massive win yesterday and if we beat Aldershot, suddenly we are hitting a bit of form.

JMW on the left means he doesn't have to check back onto his left foot-the 2nd goal yesterday was like the one at Burton-hit the byeline/left wing, square it across-goal.

Keep it tight at the back and we should have the necessary firepower to score enough goals to win games.

I am feeling positive.

I really think 4 more points will be enough.

Cheltenham would need 11 from 12 points to overall us

Burton 12 from 12

Rotherham 15 from 18

Exeter 15 from 15

All of this is on the understanding that they do not overtake our goal difference which is unlikely.

Great result today. Gutted i couldn't make it but i told Mickey Mouse in Orlando the score and he said "Dreams can come true"

Well done Vale.

Prediction of the season award here. (posted 13th March ! with 8 games left, Vale won 3 of the next 4).

I think he must be the bloke who sat next to me at the Morecambe home game two months ago. He told me Vale would be out of the play-off places within two weeks because the team had no bottle. My more sensible friends had to stop me from lamping him!
