If that pitch is frozen dunna matter if they get all the snow off. doesnt look great to me on that photo. Think they will want on though as it will be great leveller.

The pitch has had 2-3 inches of snow on it. This would have stopped it from freezing, acts as natural insulation, this is why they left the snow on until today, then clear it and get the frost covers on overnight.

Forecast is pretty good. So long as they have manage to get the terraces sorted there is a very good chance the match will be on. Would be more surprised if it were called off if nothing changes between now and the match.

I agree. West London hasn't really been hit as badly as much as other areas with the bad weather. It's noticeable that when I get home to Aylesbury (40 miles from London) from work the weather is significantly colder and there is more snow on the ground. Puney, by contrast is a couple of degrees warmer.

Around Putney, I would doubt if the ground is frozen as it's been pretty mild the last couple of days. With the snow acting as natural insulation as long then as it doesn't get really cold tonight and freezes, then there is a very decent chance of the game taking place IMO...

Annoyingly, it is currently snowing in Putney.

But it's only a light shower so it shouldn't affect Wimbledon, I mean Kingston, that much...

Sister in Ealing saying the same. It's thawing faster than the light flurries coming down. Not sticking.
