Exodus on racist abuse at vale

He never got any abuse that day,I was at the front and heard everything that was said and I swear there was no racial abuse whatsoever, the only abuse came from Geohaghon himself, offering "to see you on the pitch after the game"then walking away and dropping his shorts.THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED,if you weren't there don't comment and by the way how come the league were going to charge him with misbehaviour and only then did he come out with the racist charges, the man is a disgrace and a liar!

I hope you've read the above "George" It certainly puts your version of the events into some kind of perspective does'nt it?

According to you Exodus "only" droppped his shorts!!!!!......

I was Accrington that day too and heard nothing apart from the abuse at Gannon at the final whistle as he walked along the touchline and had to be escorted the other way and people barracking Exodus and tbf other players for being completely crap throughout the game. I was very close to the left hand side(as the fans look at the pitch) of the away end too.

I didn't even realise there was an alleged case of racism until I got home and read it on here!

Very big article, with picture over 2 pages in today's Daily Telegraph.

I have no time for racists but his case isnt very well explained perhaps why it fizzled out.

He would still WALK into our current defence though.

"He would still walk into our defence though" Pardon????????? Gotta be a joke?????????? This guy was one of the worst footballers to ever pull on the shirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Were you actually at Accrington that day? How many people actually brought up the colour of his skin? Your rant would hold some water if it was based on facts. The halftime protestations for example were aimed solely at Gannon, nothing to do with anyones colour or race. The abuse of Geoghan , whether right or wrong, was based on his performance to whiclh he threw a wobbler at the end. One person in a crowd of hundreds shouted a racist remark, and yes that is one too many, but to suggest as you and Geoghan still are that it was wholesale racial abuse is totally wrong.

Yes Tim if you read my post I state I witnessed it (3 fat blokes to be being precise). I also saw two inebriated idiots racially abusing Richards and Griff in the aforementioned Bury game. Feel free to read through the posts at the time, you will see I made exactly the same comments. ;)

My 'rant' is based on fact, first handedly witnessing such events. If you want to try and belittle and defend the indefinsible you feel free to try carry on but I feel its in very bad taste and there really is NO excuse for racial abuse end of story.

Feel free to visit You Tube, there is one idiot spouting racist abuse. It happened on a bigger scale as I witnessed it and i'm sure at the time others did as I remember people posting.

I was at Accrington in the thick of it, nt talking about Bury as its irrelevant to Exodus. Please point me to where i have condoned racism, i quite clearly state the opposite

Hope someone has a link for it so you can apologise. IDIOT

This thread shows up a few people as racist apologists. I don't want to be anywhere near these people at the match, home or away. SCUM

No this thread shows a number of people who are, like Geoghan, trying to sensationalise a very isolated incident. Watch the video again, i just have, and the overwhelming feeling is the crowd wanted Gannon out.

Yes, fine, until someone in the Vale end shouts the N word, from that point on it doesn't matter how bad a player Ex was it was out of order in any situation, thats ANY SITUATION. End of.

One person in a crowd of how many? One person too many but not the wholesale racial abuse you and others are trying to portray.

I was there and I will comment. I heard one loud racist remark (as alluded to by Timothius) . I have heard a few (Burton away, Sheffield, Bury.........) but I do not want to either belittle it nor dwell on it. We have a few troglodytes who need get out more OK?

In the main our support is superb and very well self policed.

In the main I am proud of the wiser heads having a little word (happens at a lot of away games) with the over "refreshed" heads that sometimes spout base bull cack and try to look hard.

There is no room at all for apologising for racism, and one who resorts to it when inhebriated; well - take a good hard look at yoursen when ur sober mate.

It's because Mansfield are playing Liverpool on Saturday with the added issue over Suarez and racism.

I'll try to get a link to the article.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/fa-cup/9776771/Exodus-Geohaghon-racism-nearly-made-me-quit-football.html

For me he doesn't go into enough detail about the case itself in that article. That was his opportunity to nail his case and I don't think personally he has.
