Cue the over reaction

. Personally, I think our strongest midfield has Loft, Burge and Morsy in it with one of either JMW or Vincent making up the four because since the pitches have got heavy the two wingers are not as effective as they were and we need more strength in the middle to protect our pedestrian defence.

Agree with most of it but we should nt need to protect a suspect defence we should replace it.

I would settle for 4 new signings RB, LB, CHx2.

No over reaction - but its obvious theres only a Plan A and that works really well away from V-park but the lack of quality in this squad means we cant control home games. We need a few transfer window signings in key areas, our cheshire neighbours seem to have the right approach in getting quality in from prem league teams on loan.

We need midfield and striker quality from a high level - that dosent mean job seekers or non league. The smurf needs to get his cheque book out if we are to acheive the stated aim of promotion this season.

Having missed all the Tuesday games use to work, and a couple of Saturday games due to holiday ad wedding, I've only actually seen us win once this season..and that was the opening game against Barnet!!
George this comment simply astounds me. How can you who hasn't witnessed many of our dire displays slagg off I and others who have?. Obviously I don't know every poster on here but of those who I do know and who attend nearly all the games both home and away. The majority of these are as concerned as I about the team's current poor home form. In truth the last time we really 'performed' at Vale Park was against Oxford in early October. We have won a couple of home games since but looked far from convincing.

I thought Georges comments unusual......Our home form is so important on two levels 1) the finances of the club and 2) points gained.

Thats twice this season a good gate has been treated to dross.

I think you've misunderstood me. I've seen plenty of dire performances. It's the good ones I've missed!!

Perhaps you aren't a real supporter?
I'm beginning to wonder that me sen. I've watched the Vale for 60 years. Been to nearly every ground in the Football league watching the Vale. Watched them play well and mostly watched them play rubbish and I thought that I had a right to moan when we were dross but it appears that isn't the case any longer. So you could be right I aren't a real fan but just a moaning old man these days. Perhaps the lack of loyalty shown by so many players and a few managers has made me cynical.

All though not happy yesterday we can look at it another way,if we had won the home games as we should we would now be promoted, the problems is us homey moaners are having is we are dropping to many points at home which we are witnessing,if these home defeats were away and visor verser I don't think we would be getting threads like this 😱 .. I/we should may be get of ADAMS/PLAYERS backs as we so far having an excellent season.. Well till 4-50 Saturday afternoon .

The loss of McCombe was a big blow early on today. It's things like that change games, as well as the 4 missed chances in the first 15 mins. If the pen. had gone in we would have won it, imo, but it didn't , so we'll go again Sat.

agree with everything you said, just need a result on Sat, if penalty had gone in. would have made it a different game
