He was born and brought up in Burnham, Buckinghamshire and went to the rather posh Burnham Grammar School.

 

Those of us who live in Buckinghamshire (i.e. me) will tell you that even though it borders Slough, Burnham is one of the most affluent areas of Buckinghamshire.

 

And calling people from there "Cockneys" is about as accurate as calling people from Stoke "scousers"...

Saturdays crowd surely demonstrates that Vale would not have to be a black hole, getting things right on the pitch and people will pay £ 20.00 a match [ sadly we didnt perform ]

 

Average crowds in L2 with Vale playing attractive, attacking football would surely be circa 6000
