john, headley or c.hall could play fullback. And if you dont think thats a perfect fit, remember that Moore has played Debra, both halls, john, garrity, Curtis and possibly ojo as wingback so far.

That's fair enough if John and Headley are fit.  Not sure that I like the idea of any of our CB's playing at FB, anymore than I think that they can play WB.  At the start of the season I thought that we were well stocked in WB's, but I was never convinced by our strength at CB, and that's not because we let Smith go.

I do think we will inevitably go down if Moore remains as manager simply because he doesn’t know his best 11, makes 3-4 changes every game, and plays players in their wrong positions on a frequent basis. I do think though there are enough games left and a transfer window to come in January for a new manager to come in and keep us up. I just can’t see Carol sacking Moore though and he probably has one of the safest jobs on football.

Also reminder we sent Shorrock out on loan instead of giving him any time at all in this division. Could have done with him today too.

Yes, I quite like Shorrock, and he is certainly a better option than playing CB's at WB.

Their number  44 was the best player on the pitch. Any team in League  one will have  difficulty  containing him.

I don’t disagree. My point is, why aren’t we in for that type of player?? Because Moore’s system / style of football simply doesn’t allow for them. I would love to watch players like that every other week, yet will not get to whilst Moore is in charge.

Also, I like Gauci as a shot stopper, good hands and confident coming for crosses etc, but his distribution is atrocious. All last week at Bolton it was booted out of play. He tries to kick by cutting across it but for that to work he has to keep it relatively flat so it goes straight to the player.

But time after time it loops straight up in the air, gets no distance and if it doesn't go out of play then it's gone so high that defenders have more chances to hassle the Vale player.

His throwing as well, there was a moment today he could have thrown the ball into G. Hall's space to run on to but he threw it above head height pretty much at him.

I don't  know.... are we a selling  club to survive?.... would  Tolaj  made a difference  today? We could  have  lost.... but football  is all about  taking  chances..... if we had taken  one in the last 10 minutes,  equally  we could  have  won.

Ive no idea about  getting rid of Moore,  but the question  would  be who would  replace  him.

Anyone know what their manager has had to say?? I’d imagine he probably feels incredibly frustrated.

On a separate note, I also think Alex Morris would be a good option for us, but I think we’d probably have to take relegation on the chin (so much like last time).

If Headley, Curtis and Byers were just not picked, then the bench was a disgrace. Why do we need both Stockley and Faal on there, they do the same bloody thing!! One of them fine, but both is a waste, especially when there were no wing backs when we clearly HAVE to use them…

You've missed Croasdale out as well, that had me stewing during the game, we didn't need Stockley and Faal on the bench, because it was so random it got me thinking DM was making a point to the dressing room.

We've had/ got , that type of player in Rico and BBB. Don't fit our narrative as rigid and organised.

And dull as dishwater.

Everyone who defends Moore, must be running out of excuses by now.

I'm struggling to express my frustration at his utter ineptitude to manage our team.

Connor Hall must have been sponsored by Heinz today, as he was on toast so much, yet Moore seemed oblivious to the fact.

After a 20 minute spell of fruitless pressure by us, we reverted to the type of play that would see us struggle in the league below. Some of our players are better than that and maybe some aren't.

Most teams we play against don't have exceptional individuals, but tend to know how to string a few passes together and do so at a reasonable pace, whereas we are so laborious that the opposition can usually easily pick of any forward pass that we attempt.

Make no mistake, we are a hoof and hope team that feeds off rare scraps of opportunities, but with little quality to make the most of those scraps, when they fall.

How much longer have we got to watch this utter tripe and listen to the lamest of post mat h drivel from a bloke who seems to take no responsibility of the way we play.

Yes, he got us promoted last year, but it was the strangest one I've experienced in my 50 years of following the Vale, in as much that, even the promotion felt somewhat underwhelming.

Everyone on this forum {well almost everyone) wants to see the Vale win and I'd love to see DM be responsible for it, but nothing, and to be clear I mean nothing suggests that he can produce the quality required to avoid a relegation, let alone some strange notion that some folk have, that he can take us forward.

His play is abysmal and borders on anti football- no, is anti football. This is what supporting the Vale does to you.

Still, UTV.

Big loss for us getting rid of tolaj.

There are some possibilities Ken, and we may be damned if we do, but we'll certainly damned if we don't.

Absolutely.

But what chance in the last 10 minutes is Mr Hancock on about?

Sorry, can't recall any .

On our pitch aswell it cries out for wingers all the greatest sides we’ve ever had we’ve always had  good out an out wingers now what do we have so poor going forwards we don’t even look like scoring a goal and don’t get me started on long throws or corners because no one wants to get on the end of a ball or make a move to get the ball.
