Cole is a solid addition.  A reasonably reliable league 1 striker. Maybe not the messiah some think, he's only hit double figures 4 times I believe. I'm more excited to see what Hall brings as he's young and seems to have up side potential. Clear from the interview his deal has been bubbling away for a week, as he was getting info from Liam Gordon about the club on Tuesday.  Not sure I believe we've paid a full 500k, possible that it could rise to that with add ons. I liked what I saw from the Derby player on Saturday.  Faal was poor but had done well prior to Reading.  

Be interesting to see what all this means for formations in the weeks ahead. Cole and Hall you would think have been signed to start, Cole is clearlyplaying centrally but Hall could play midfield or right of a 3. So whichever way it pans out (3 5 2 or 3 4 3) that only leaves space for 2 from Shipley, Walters, Garrity, Byers, Croasdale and Shipley.  Purely on performance on the pitch this season that would be - Ojo and Walters! Funny game football,  nobody would have contemplated that 12 months ago!

Tbf I think that would make sense unfortunately as Scottish football suits his game. If it true then he goes with my very best wishes and it will be a shame that it just hasn't worked out for him here although tbh he hasn't been given a proper chance to show what he can do and after he had a good pre-season I thought we would see a new version of Ruari Paton who would have been determined to show what he could do in L1 and I still think he would have started on the opening day of the season against Rotherham if he hadn't have picked up an injury in training the day before the match. I hope it's wrong but I have a feeling it might be true sadly. If we had played him in a 2 we would have got the very best out of him IMO.

I personally think Cole will be a more influential than Tolaj would have been. £1.2mill and Cole on a free is clever business by the club.

This has always been a bit confusing to me - Our windows shut so cant do more transfers - but because theirs is still open we can still sell but not buy ?  Whats the crack with all the other leagues then - like the Welsh and Irish, French, Dutch etc .  I'm old enough to remember when players could be bought and sold all the time and the world didnt seem to falter because there were no transfer windows.
