Fleetwood v Port Vale match thread - 8th March

Featured Replies

Two very tough away games coming up at Fleetwood and Colchester. I can see us losing one of them which means we need be winning the other. We haven't won away at Fleetwood in our last 4 visits there with 2 draws and 2 defeats. I'd say I'd be happy with a draw from this and a draw from Colchester but I'd prefer to win one and lose one as it's 3 points instead of 2 and can't see us getting 4 or 6 points from the 2 game.

I’d take 3 points from the next 2 games. We need a win by whatever means possible & to start scoring more often. Drawing too many now at the business end of the season

Relegated with us and fancied their chances of a swift return. Started slowly but have a sneaky feeling they will do what Doncaster did last season and storm into the playoffs. Taken Walsall to the cleaners home and away and we cannot keep praising ourselves for a point on the road.

Have to win.....

They’ve won 2 in their last 7 games. Lost to Carlise this season & also got battered by Morecambe. Playoff’s are more than doable, they’re only 7 points adrift but I don’t fancy them making top 7. Doncaster were 20th last March then went & won 10 on the bounce & drew in their final 11 games. Not quite comparable to Doncaster last season

Tough game against a team led by possibly the best manager in the division, they will see Port Vale as one of the teams they can catch to grab a play off place, anything but 3 points is no good for them so could be a decent game.

I wanted Wild as manager before Moore was appointed but i am interested in what makes you feel like he is possibly the best manager in this League ?

I also see that Wild has been given a 3 game touchline ban starting on Saturday

Fleetwood town, fleetwood Mac, demon barber of Fleet Street, doesn’t matter, 0-4.

Chislett for Harper please.

Battered Wimbledon recently somehow drew 0-0.

Conceded stoppage time goal in a 2-2 with County on Saturday and battered Crewe tonight.

This and Colchester are hugely difficult games, I can't see much of a points haul from these two matches sadly.

You're beginning to be as negative as me 😬😆

What's that got to do with my question to Phil?

You're one of DMs biggest fans aren't you?

You could considerably play for a 0 -0 next two away games but I'd like see a effort win them both for the away followers .

The season starts sat no idea what Fleetwood like, nor do I care what they are like or what they did to whoever they were playing last game a 4-1 win probably because of thst broken leg for Crewe player may have affected there overall performance .

We have to take care of our own performance firstly .

We must come out that changing room and set the tempo and be winning all 50/50s high press running there defence into the ground .

Agree with a post I've seen earlier from sandyford lion we seem to have a lot of players in midfield who are playing in same role or are probably all strong in one specialised position

Chislett /R Richards have to play we need change the dynamics of the last 2 poor going forwards midfield displays.

Cannot expect John do it on his own I'd like see the most positive of formations sat and Tues

It's now time to show if we have got it or we haven't playing Byers Croasdale and Harper in midfield last 2 hasn't worked at all when Hall is your most prominent running forwards player (with the ball )it's bizarre say the least where are Byers and Croasdale why ain't they charging through the field with the ball

We have to play with a lot more attacking intent to even threaten the top 3 .

Moore needs to change it if he doesn't we will come a cropper
