John is a good player, but it kills us at home (when we have more of the ball) having a right footer at left wing back.

It’s either him or Sang right side of a back 3. Don’t want smithy or heneghan on the right hand side of a back 3 mate. John smith hart is fine. Sang smith hart would be fine. KTF

I’m not a fan of todays lineup.

Very little creativity in the side.

Hope I’m wrong but this looks like another dull home game.

Exactly. People would grumble just as much if Heneghan, Debrah, Smith were having to play wide centre back.

I wouldn’t want Heneghan LCB or RCB for that matter. Needs to be in the middle but nobody is taking Nathan’s shirt at the minute. With Hall missing the obvious replacement for me is Hart. I actually had Hart LCB in my predicted line up beginning of this thread. I like him in there & gives us more balance with him being left footed 

It’s interesting wording regards Paton “not quite ready for today’s game”. He was in the matchday squad in our last game at Donny so that either means he picked up a knock in training since or maybe it’s cover for someone has approached us about him.

That's the joy of being a Vale fan.  You just don't know how the players will come out of the tunnel and perform against a team struggling.  Just hope they come out and produce the goods and not a nail bitter one.

I’m prepared to have my heart broken. Doesn’t sound good at all 

I’d rather Hennigan instead of either hart or john just so we have two solid big centre halves and one with them rather than gamble with two out of position, ideally would have had Harper for Lowe too.

Ffs why are people banging on about players out of position. Sam Hart can play as a central defender in a back 3, as a full back & also a wing back. Kyle John has been fine playing in a back 3 & is good on the ball. No way I want Heneghan on unless he’s in a back 4 or central in a 3 similar to Smithy.
