Chesterfield much touted. Zero shots on target. Though it was nervy , cos it's Vale.

Big shout to the ref. Utterly abysmal. A disgrace. 7 yellows i think we had. The worst of which was the John one where their bloke was already falling down before John breathed on him. A new low in ineptness. 

And Debrah was immense. I'm one of his biggest critics. He was brilliant today.

Really good performance. 

As if the day couldn’t be better cheers for the £25 for the privilege of seeing us win a home game you mouthbreathing <ovf censored> 🤣🤣

Unfortunately back from overseas too late today to watch the game.Looking forward to watching the replay tomorrow. 

Hopefully we can now go and put another few wins together and set the tone for the season building momentum.

I’ve not read any of this thread yet but I hope DM is getting a bit of credit after the nonsense about his position 2 games ago. His recruitment has been excellent with players like Byers and Stockley too good for this league.

If Moores style of football is to knock it about but get it forward at the first opportunity I am all for it.

This set up does hinge on Stockley having a good game though. Hopefully he stays injury free and keeps playing as well as he is. I love Tolaj, Chislett and Benicio buzzing around picking up the knock-downs.

A good solid performance despite the most fussy referee I’ve ever seen at vp. He even insisted that the ball be rotated for half a rotation on a vale free kick so he was happy with the position and as for all our bookings I don’t think a single one was justified. Well done vale. 

Ripley was never troubled it takes one hell of a lot of discipline win a game and the goalkeeper have nowt do .

Kudos to each and every player who represented the Vale 

The support come alive in last 15 .

It was so good to hear fans getting behind the team 

No doubt in my mind lots more come from this squad 

Ripley 7 good kicking most of afternoon.

Cover 7.2 defensively sound I'd like see him join in more offensively however that will come eventually. 

John 7 he gets down that left and no problems at all defensively 

Debrah 7.7 tremendous today my lads man of the match I thought he was doing very well till he was clattered by one of them 

Hall 7.6

Byers 8 tackles well as that touch of class you can tell won everything generally  and kept us tight defensively throughout .

Tolaj 7.9 couple of good efforts second half and assist for goal 

Chislett 8.5 my player of the match or whatever they call it ,what a beautifully taken goal, he was tackling back and for me the catalyst to the win

BBB 7.6 give it this lad and he will go for it 

Stockley 7 .5 led the line well enough should have scored when chested it down and hit wide but no complaints with his overall game

Fantastic win the effort and commitment there for all to see! That puts last season’s pathetic efforts to bed. They never had a shot on goal we should have maybe got another still absolutely delighted with the performance. Was not too despondent after Donny just three silly mistakes. On wards and upwards.

Good win today. They were hard work, you can see why they've been a success so far with a very high work rate and high pressure. Vale dealt with them well - only disappointment is not getting a second goal. 

Loving Tolaj, though big Jess played really well - hope his injury isn't too serious, likewise Hall who played his opponent of the park. 

Just sorted out coming up to see the Swindle game with my brother. Can't wait!!

Accrington next week. We need to be ruthless and have a goalsfest
