It would be interesting to know what DMs ideal starting 11 is, the one he would want to start the season with. Appreciate we have injuries at the moment and we are only playing friendlies but as we have had so many player changes you would hope that ideal team will start to get some game time together soon  so as the can gel.

And so it continues. Play the same defence that got relegated and go behind. Lets hope our strikers can find then nets. Come on you whites!

I’m surprised with the first game being just a fortnight away that DM isn’t playing a team approaching his first choice XI. I have to trust what the manager is doing but he will face questions should we not get off to a decent start.

Well if this is it then I’ll be seriously changing my opinion of him. I know this is only a friendly etc, but it feels that for all the talk of Fans charters and so on, they’re constantly trying to kick fans where it hurts. I’d be bloody livid if I’d given up my Saturday to travel to Burton (and for me it’s almost as quick to get there as it is Vale Park) and I’d presented with that line up.

If they have knocks then he simply cant play and risk them. Nobody will care about pre-season should we win our opening game in a fortnight.

Genuinely one of the worst players we've had in recent history.

It is odd to see so many first teamers not included, I would have thought Moore would have wanted a strong side out for this one with not long to go before the season starts 

Unfortunately the defence is going to be our achilles heel unless we can get better out there come 10th August. Yes I know it's a friendly and not all the players will play in each game but we have too many stinking the places out in the back 4. 

Jones is a dreadful footballer and one of the worst I've seen in a Vale shirt, no one will ever convince me otherwise 😤.

Once we get Clark, Heneghan, Hall and Hart on the field with Croasdale shielding the back four, we'll be much better.
