I think I'm one of the few that never fully went with the hype. He's  potentially a good player, but he's not positively changed any game when he's come on this season. I'm really glad we cashed in now. I think he'll go to their U23s, maybe get the odd sub/cup appearance and then end up in a similar league to us. (Which is nowt to be sniffed at, I wish I'd have had that career). Hopefully he proves me wrong though! 

I genuinely think Shorrock is the better prospect. Dipepa stands out as he's a striker who scored a couple of eye-catching goals.

Starting in the Saints U21s, will have to see how quickly he progresses.

Suppose there’s a silver lining to his name falling off my shirt. 
 

Personally bit gutted, I was hoping to see more of him. At least he’s at one of the country’s most established and successful youth development setups in recent years. Hope he smashes it. 

Good move for the lad and if you could hand pick a club to send him Southampton is probably up there with their record with young talent coming through so a good chance we may benefit for years to come if a big sell on is attached.

Probably more than pays for the bigger spending we’ve done this season. Good luck!

Surely the 'undisclosed fee' will pop up in the end of year accounts? I think in the past that clubs have kept undisclosed fees undisclosed so that other clubs don't know how much money they have in there arsenal to bid for their players. However, with the transfer window now closed it makes no sense.

Unlikely to be that obvious as the deal is most likely amortised with clauses attached. 

Clubs rarely pay fees up front, even the ones with a fee mentioned are amortised over a number of years.

He probably injured himself picking up the pen to sign the contract and will now be out for 6 months.

Yep agreed... Shorrock also has the advantage of being left footed and as we know left sided players are hard to come by- hopefully we can earn some money on him
