Summer transfer rumours and speculation

I'm interested to hear what is said at the forum tonight.

I don't think Gibbo is the answer, as much as I love the bones of the guy - we've had enough injury problems this last year. We need fit athletes who can last a whole season; I also agree with the feelings about Uche that the man cannot last 90 mins - should be an immediate no-no.

The only former player i'd want back here is Harrat I think he's superb and gagging for success.  But I know he's been injured, too, so maybe a straight no.

Cant get up to the Mother Town this evening so if someone can summarise the forum tonight that would be great.

Before he was injured was Harratt a regular under Moore at Huddersfield?

I mentioned Austin at Swindon earlier,he had 3 shots on target last weekend and scored 2... now a free agent

Yes played in every game bar 1 under Moore until injury and then suspension.

There are certain ex players who people would want back if decent and imo if he is a loan option we could do a lot worse,we need that nippy striker to play off the shoulder but put him alongside a Cole Stockton type

I would however prefer us to cast our net elsewhere first

Where does this notion that Harratt is superb come from for some people? He works hard, sure, but he averaged a goal every 6 games in League Two for us and has scored 1 goal for Huddersfield since in the league. "Gagging for success" is complete hyperbole. That's not even mentioning he clearly has bad habits off the pitch.

That's why I said i would prefer someone else but i dont think we will be interested in him now anyway

Not for me one minute saying we should be going in for him, for me too much baggage but saying he was one in 6 for us is not really true, lot of that time was playing 10 to 15 mins as a sub.  He scored a goal every 161 minutes during his time with us, a very decent return for someone who was 19 when he was with us.

Fair point. Still don't think he really pulled up any trees though despite his Wembley goal, and he's done nothing since. He would be fine as one of four strikers at the club, but think "superb" is way over the top.
