Seriously though considering some thought we were in for Michael Smith in the January window,how much do we think he would be on a week? surely more than 5 or 6k ... if we still want him/if we were interested would we pay that

I didn't say it as i would have no idea what the players are on but ST i think it was said uche was on 4.5k

If that's the case and he was potentially the top earner then ever likely the other players couldn't be arsed,you have to earn your corn.

I would still be very surprised if anyone knows for a fact players are on unless the player has told them

The fascination with ex players is bizarre 

I don't think most Vale fans watch a lot of football so they aren't able to suggest anyone other than ex-players, 'big names' or players that played a blinder against us.

I rarely see any other signing suggestions not fitting those 3 categories on here.

Derby pulled out of signing Smith on loan from Wednesday in January because they wanted a loan fee and his wages paying in full.

He's supposed to have been on five figures a week.

When some were whipped into a frenzy that he was in the building on deadline day when a pic surfaced but someone i know looked at the pic and said straight away that it was someone who works at the look who looks a bit like him,now that would make more sense.... either way if he leaves Sheff Wed he will surely go to League One

If we are after an experienced scorer then i would be looking at Matt Smith but as some have said it looks like he is packing in full time footy or even Austin now he has been released,played a part in 40+ games this season and scored 14 in a struggling side, has a goal average through his career of a goal every couple of games or so i think

I believe he was on 3k. My understanding was they would have looked to go over that for a striker if we'd stayed up.
