Fleetwood (H) match thread - 27th Feb

Really pleasing half. So much better than Saturday. Loads of intensity, desire and effort. Dipepa, weir and Chislett have done brilliantly up top. Chased everything. Lopata and yak done very well as well at the back. These have some very good players so have to be careful, but delighted so far. Night and day from Saturday.

Dipepa has done more this half than Wilson and loft have managed to do all season  what a talent the lad is  🙂

Amazing what a bit of effort and desire can do

2-0 at HT very happy with that. Still want to build on that in the second half. Clean sheet would be ideal.

I hope he does, I really do!!!

But absolutely nothing, as in zero things from his minutes so far, tells me he will.
It's absolutely insane that we have to rely on a kid, a literal kid, nowhere near ready for what he's being asked to do.

To be fair he’s played well tonight 👌🏻

I agree! Best performance by a country mile so far!

The whole team actually plays with passion and desire tonight. Long may it last!

Just want a win , no matter what , mate

2-0 is always a dangerous score line, especially with a whole half to go. Hopefully we got for the third instead of sitting back from the off in the second 45. They have some good players, as does every team in this league, but they are where they are for good reason.

Anyone have a good view of the penalty. Couldn’t see anything on ifollow but commentary saying they pulled his hair?

Can't ask much more than that 1st half performance from Vale. keep the concentration, no  silly mistakes and break up the play if they get a head of steam up and Vale should be OK.

Done well. But going for the killer pass we are giving the ball away too much and they are much better than their league position. They have had nearly 100 passes more than us. Need to keep it better.

The most pleasing thing about that first half was that we played football that we can get behind, more of a Port Vale style.

We’ve tried to play in their half and get the ball forward when possible. We’ve shown desire, energy, got in their faces and defended simply.

Much better than the pedestrian football of this season.

Looked like the player had his arm around chizzys neck, 1 of them that never really get given, but we'll take it.
