Yep I agree the finger points at Flitcroft for the problems on the pitch but there is no point in him going at the moment, some of the reputed signings we missed out on may have been for reasons beyond his control.

I hope it doesn't happen but Vale may well have to take a step backwards in order to go forwards, it's just reality.

The way forward certainly isn't nasty comments aimed at The Shanahans.

 

If you read some of the posts you will see a lot of supporters feel taken for granted. The points you make are the tip of the iceberg. 

There are larger problems at hand. 

 

Not even Norman Smurfwaite had that effect  and at least there was a reasonable attempt at making something of League one. This season there is no effort nor any passion coming from players, management nor the Dof or owners. 

The problems are deeper than you suggest.

If we go down we will struggle to come back up. It’s a tough league that will get tougher next season. Our side would struggle at that level so would need a clear out again. We have to stay up this season. Fans can have opinions on the owners just as owners before them.

Chesterfield will continue to prosper. Then you'll have teams like Notts County , Gillingham, plenty of others depending who misses out on promotion. 

It's going to be tough and horrible if it happens.
