Wycombe (H) match thread - 20th Jan

Featured Replies

Am assuming the referee has called it off not the club?  Other than putting on the covers and getting fans to blow hot air on it (would imagine there’d be no problem getting volunteers) guess there’s not much more that can be done by the club.

Wycombe wanted to play it Sunday interestingly but we said it wasn't possible due to the logistical issues.

Disappointing but it might give us a bit more time to sort out a few fitness issues, especially Rhys Williams.

There are quite a few lower division games called off already including Bradford and they have undersoil heating ........ but can't afford to switch it on!

TBF , I assume Bradford have calculated the cost of turning on the heating and then the games STILL called of if there's snow around the ground which would call the game off anyways....

Do you know this?

I have just seen on Facebook that Ikpaezo has gone to Charlton; is it true?

It hasn't been switched on for years apparently.

read it on bbcdiv1 news

This is disappointing. It'll likely cause a Tuesday night game. There have been too many of those this season caused by switching league fixture. I can't moan about cup games of course. But that's life I guess - I do protest too much.

Looking at the round of fixtures it's possible the teams below mostly lose. Plus it's an opportunity for us to get the nearly fit back.

That's a loss and to a rival. But otherwise good luck to Uche.

I agree he is looking fitter and played well against Charlton and scored as did Massey

and now relying on Loft and Garrity and Wilson for goals

And Chiss. This is OK if Loft can step up, Wilson stays fit and Garrity returns. Too many risks. Need to sign someone? Correction someone good.

I am concerned about the club’s finances with Conlon going to Oldham and if it is confirmed about Ikpaezo  which I saw on bbc1 news

Surely the referee carrying out the inspection has to take account of the forecast? Everything is saying tomorrow will be a perfectly good day for a match. A 9am inspection tomorrow would have been more than adequate for Wycombe to travel.

This reeks of us wanting the game off.
