Also fair play to the team and management for a great front foot performance. Rode our luck at times, but ended up being a special evening

I always say you make your own luck at times and I thought we did that yesterday. I know they're struggling away from home at the moment but they have some genuinely top players for this league. You always need one or two things to go your way to achieve such a result.

Thought Devine was outstanding and ran the game. The blaster leaving and playing deeper looks like to have been good for him.
Is Massey injured or just dropped?

He's nowhere near as bad as some fans make out.

Vale fans ALWAYS need a scapegoat.

ALWAYS.

You’re right there! I remember some fools booing Leon Constantine for being lazy even though he’d scored a shed load and was only behind Billy Sharp in the final divisional scoring charts. 🙄

A victim of the virus that’s circulating in the club. It previously claimed Uche and Loft.

Deborah,  future Vale Captain imo

Well he must be about 4th in line for wing back now.

Ben Garrity. What a transformation from the player that arrived a couple of years.

Ignoring the obvious things he did, as one or two other posters have already intimated, the way he supported young Mr Sharrock last night was tremendous.

Spot on mate, stepped up to "seasoned pro" mode to be an excellent role model for the youth of the club.

10 goals for the season and we’ve just completed December - the lad is a massively valuable asset and will be going places beyond vale, wouldn’t be surprised if we see a few bids. His energy, his leadership, his tackling and of course his finishing, we know he’s got it in him from the promotion season, he just gets better and better

UTV - great result and great to see Jambo back with 2 goals and a new contract!

Quite the remarkable rise. To think he's only been a professional footballer for 3 years to come from non league he's been outstanding. Over 20 goals in less than 100 games for the club is a good return from a midfielder whose main asset is his work rate & tenacity, going to be some clubs sniffing around this window. Fast becoming a club legend. Boss

Not gonna mention Smudge pal 🤷🏼‍♂️ had a good game last night, won some vital headers & topped it off with a goal. Welcome back captain 💪🏻 Yet you mention every other player on that pitch apart from your namesake Alfie & Smith. Your hate of him is really bizzare! Garrity did what he always does, chased around, got stuck in, brought us energy & bags a goal. Standard for Ben he was everywhere. Shorrock was rightly man of the match he was pure class last night. 16 years old & his full debut & had CJ Hamilton on toast

Smith was also his usual nuisance to the opposing striker which resulted  in a grapple on the floor where the number 9 clearly elbowed Smith, missed by the officials but it was clear in the Paddock. I really like Smith and he is exactly the type of defender you need when you go into battle

I thought Blackpool played like we have been doing most of the time and we played like teams have been playing against us, clinical, if that makes sense.

How's Jordan Rhodes scored 15 goals playing for them?

Watching the match last night, I was listening to the Blackpool commentary which included Gary Bower. They were very very complementary about Shorrock, Lomax & Devine. They could not believe that Shorrock is only 16.

If Shorrock carries on playing as he is then there is no doubt clubs are going try to take him off us as we cant offer him a deal until he is 17(hope he hasn't got the same advisors as Walters),as soon as we can we need sign him up as he could end up worth a fair bit if he continues to develop as he is

Think he's like the 8th highest scorer in the league or there abouts. Absolute class

But when Cheltenham and Boro rode their luck with deflections for goals that was because we were "dire" 😄
