January Transfers and Rumours

When he was at Aberdeen he was never fit , hamstring and ankle issues in other words a croc
Vale have to decide whether to take the risk in order to improve the relationship with Liverpool, but not to be too reliant upon him. Obviously, medical supervision is easier, with Vale being local compared to Aberdeen. Which other defenders are in the melting pot?

Will feel right at home here

Balmer has been a major disappointment. Seemed a nailed on starter when we signed him. Injured pre season.

He's then played in fits and starts and looked far from comfortable with the ball despite his background at Palace.

Just hasn't worked out for him or Vale.

Now official Balmer returned to palace

Good news. Clearly not at this level, made big mistakes regularly

It is only good news if we get someone better to replace him surely?

Why? He was a liability. Even if we don’t replace him we’re better off. We obviously will replace him anyway

Ben lomax is a better option at RCB than him.

A bit harsh! Notwithstanding any views on Balmer's ability, that's another loanee returned to parent club and, as yet, not many signings to replace those who have left!

We have won one and l0st two of the League  games Ben has played in. It is too early to judge if he is going to be a better option, this is his first season of mens football.

Seems like a waste of time calling any loan "season-long" these days

Seems like we’ll be announcing Kofi’s replacement shortly. Looks like it’s Rhys Williams so @Osh looks like you nailed it.

Tattoo gives it away, good signing on paper and a decent upgrade you'd think.
