This is one of the maddest threads in the history of OVF I think.

my views havent changed. flitcroft leaves a LOT to be desired. especially since hes making all the signings ( most of which are young future prospects on loan) and not actually players we can sign on long term deals. then theres the issue of 3-5-2 all the time on a pitch as big as wembleys. and then theres the insistence on keeping a manager whos win ratio is appalling. want me to go on ?

I hear you Ray but let's see what happens but if the wheels come off.thats when we make our views crystal clear mate 👍, UTV.

It has wandered off the path a bit hasn't it?  Oatcake fillings, London beer prices, and loads of other stuff.  It's why I love this forum - it's like being down the pub and getting sidetracked when you were talking about the January window, then remember what you would like for tea...

He was. The discussion moved on to the underpinning issues. Mitigation comes after investigation and prosecution. It may influence sentencing or not.

As an auditor, investigator and risk manager - in my career - I find and bring the facts forward to decision makers. That's it. I don't care, for example, if a person stole money to fund an affair with a secret lover. They just broke the law.

I might mention in a report they told me that was their motivation for committing the offence / crime. But it won't alter the core findings, conclusions and recommendations arising from the investigation I put in the report.

I appreciate you want to bring sympathy, empathy and support etc. So the offending person here - Toney - does have issues that need treatment and support. But for the investigator that's something that comes after the case has been proven and carried out by someone else competent to help.

Yep - that sounds pretty soulless!

Think its funny reading some of the strange comments that aren't transfer/loan related this week due to no actual rumours coming out about Vale being connected to transfers/loans now Dan Gore has been put to bed and we have him now - well till the end of the season.

Wonder what the next topic this thread will go down.  Will someone take the plunge and come up with swimming connections  🤣

Mine is pint of abbots plz NN - it is Ur round isn't it? 😍😍

It'll be interesting next summer if our success giving young loan signings a platform, has any clout with signing young permanent signings.

Could slowly start cultivating a reputation for it which would be nice.

On another note I think Bristol Rovers might be about to implode. Their managers interview after losing 1-0 at home to Exeter was remarkable. Kind of suggested they don't have proper scouting in place. Also fan rumours that their owners didn't fund away accommodation at Barnsley and they have to play their loan keeper or pay fees to Brentford. No idea what's true but something rotten there.

Try cheese and tinned tomatoes another level

I consider oatcakes to be part of a full English breakfast...so, bacon, sausage and eggs and you have the best start to the day!

Edit: and mushrooms!

Problem is I have used all mine up from the freezer so need to do a run up to Stoke to buy more and then freeze them.  Always good fun when ordering 6 dozen oakcakes at one go.  The look you get from the owner and anyone else in the shop - feel like saying - yes I am addicted to oatcakes.  🤣

Yes - that's a L:ancashire problem, too! Our supermarkets only stock those by "Staffordshire Oatcakes" which are better than nothing...bit not as good as the real thing!

Admin...I know...off topic...for some while. Time to have a thread dedicated to our ambrosia?
