Yes - that's a L:ancashire problem, too! Our supermarkets only stock those by "Staffordshire Oatcakes" which are better than nothing...bit not as good as the real thing!

Admin...I know...off topic...for some while. Time to have a thread dedicated to our ambrosia?

Now ambrosia rice pudding is a new conversation completely , it’s not great

Yep - that sounds pretty soulless!

An investigator can bring some soul to an investigation. It is important not to go off on a witch hunt where the investigator starts off only looking at proving guilt. The point of investigation is to look for innocence, guilt and anything in between with an open mind. The Post Office prosecutions are a prime example where this balance doesn't seemed to have happened leading to gross injustice and serious harm to the welfare of many post masters and their wider family etc.

I hate rice pudding, full stop.

Reading starting to lose players, hopefully they will be depleted when it’s time for the replay. Abbey for them signing for Olympiacos!

Made a banging apple [emoji520] crumble last night [emoji39]

Just had my banana folks 👍🏻 🍌

I'm about to make some porridge and then going to buy a new hoodie

Got to chuckle at some of the comments - just light hearted fun as nothing is happening in the transfer window by the looks of it.  Need Osh to come up with some transfer gossip like the Dan Gore one.

We really need a transfer or loan rumour to come out and occupy our thoughts.

Just off for a coffee, no porridge, oatcakes or rice pudding tho.  😉

Porridge for me .

Transfer news not a chance hope Vale are moving players on who have gone past there sell by date

Surprised at DC he must be happy with his Cheltenham lot .

Thought he be all over us for some of our players .

Maybe he saw the real them when at Accrington away etc etc

Or maybe there just better than Cheltenhams level mate? Only one i can think of is Cass who he would maybe make a move for. Enjoy your porridge 😂

I have to admit I thought for sure Conlon would follow DC down to Cheltenham but maybe it came down to money and location. Oldham probably in a position since the takeover to offer better to him on both counts. Wouldn’t shock me if he made a move for Gibbo in the remainder of the window though.

I know a lot are on the fence & i'll get pelters but i love gibbo. I'd take him back no mither, Clark been injured more than he was 😂 when both fit they'd make a cracking wing back combination on both sides

Just seen the Gore interview. The comments from his old man really impress me & what he said about the club. This isn't no script these lads are feeling more than welcome & are being lured into signing as a recognition to the hard work everyone at Vale is doing. It's never been like this in my 25 years of being a fan & it's such a pleasure to see. Well done to everyone involved in the club 👏🏻

Knowing my luck the game that Gibbo and Clark were BOTH fit to start would be the one game a season I can't make because of a wedding or something

Wow - you manage to kill the mood every time, don't you? "Begging around" and "scrounge" are as far away as they can be from what's really happening here - we are identifying young and gifted talent from elite clubs, and persuading them that these players can get a good grounding with us. None of this is done by happenstance...nor with a begging bowl! As you may have read, Man United "scouted us" for a while, to make sure we were the real deal for them. That, alone, is a feather in our cap - to establish that kind of trust with clubs like Liverpool and Man IU. We often hear "why can they loan players from top clubs, but we can't?" - it's because we've never put in the groundwork that has to be done, and not, since the days of Rudgie, had many managers with the chutzpah to ask Man Utd for one of their players, on loan?

Yes - I get we're still 18th in the League...and some of us think we're one game from the drop...but we haven't played many matches, recently, for various reasons out of our control, which has left us with up to 3 games in hand, and a single win could move us up 4 or 5 ;places. Take a look upwards, for a change, instead of permanently fearing the drop? It's not scary!

I like the optimism, but this idea we were “scouted” because of our abilities as a club that can nurture talent is a load of bull that Flitcroft has spun us for. I hope it works, but I will take his ability to talk well with a huge pinch of salt.

Man United currently have numerous players on loan at a range of clubs as follows:

44MFEngland ENGDan Gore (at Port Vale)[231

]48DFEngland ENGWill Fish (at Hibernian)[232

]52FWEngland ENGJoe Hugill (at Burton Albion)[

233]66DFEngland ENGRhys Bennett (at Stockport County)[234

]68MFPoland POLMaxi Oyedele (at Forest Green Rovers)[235]

Liverpool

28FWPortugal PORFábio Carvalho (at Hull City until 30 June 2024)[149]

45GKBrazil BRAMarcelo Pitaluga (at St Patrick's Athletic until 30 November 2024)[150

]46DFEngland ENGRhys Williams (at Port Vale until 30 June 2024)[151]

72DFNetherlands NEDSepp van den Berg (at Mainz 05until 30 June 2024)[152]

Not really the mega coup being touted about. Are all these other clubs, Burton, Forest Green, Stockport all specially selected? In fact, all of his peers are on loan at a level below or equal to us. So the idea we have become a pull for a load of Championship level youngsters isn’t true. They are u23 players in teams we often stuff in paint point games.

There is no special “scouting magic” that has made us more appealing. We used to get players in from Nottingham Forest quite often under Askey in league 2, it just happens that now we are in league 1, the youngsters can now come from the Prem.

The only reason any Prem team would be keen to loan their youth players is for games. The reason we can offer them guaranteed football is because we have a glaring shortage of quality in first team areas as we have not bought our own guys in.

Anything else is just Flitcroft fairy tales and decent PR spin. I admit we are far better at that these days.
