School initiatives!

Just had a look on the Aston Villa website and they have a great school ticket plan. They let local schools have 1000 vouchers for every league game which any under 12 to take a long to Villa Park and get a free ticket. What a great idea this would be for Vale to take on. Yes the tickets would be free for under 12's ( I know under 9's are free now at Vale) but if they also offered parent tickets at say £10, I think this would encourage more children and parents to come along to Vale Park and generate more income and a better atmosphere in the ground. Thoughts folks?

i would love it as i have kids, but do you not think that selling tickets for that cheap would in some way damage the club?we are a league two side with average gates probably around 4500 (dont quote me) and villa are premier league, gates prob around 35000 (again, dont quote me).

if a thousand of our fans only paid £10 then that would harm the vale imo, however if the same is at villa, well they have another 34000 fans to make that up.

Spot on the amount of folk who live aimless lives ,have nothing look forward too.

Football and Vale can give them an incentive ,Work all week,Vale Saturday.

Do well at school be rewarded with free ticket to Vale and lower admission price for Mums,dads,nans etc etc,only the kids in the schools need to know about it so certain folk can't get on there high horse and knock an incentive get more bums on seats.

More importantly it gives u a purpose ,did me thousands of others too.

id rather they went to stoke personally. I'm not being snobbish but I wouldn't want to take my kidda to Vale if the place was full of alcys and crackheads (even reformed ones) I don't think many other people would. Would'nt be the greatest image either would it for us? Would we want to be known as a club whos fans are made up of alcys and junkies?
