It was upon entering the ground where we encountered our first slight issue. When you are going to a new ground, I think you are entitled to be able to take photographs of the experience. So when we got told to put our cameras away by a power hungry steward, it came as a shock to us all. We have never been to an EFL game before and been told to put our cameras away.

What a complete weapon. Not the OP. Reading that reminded me of a game against FGR a few seasons ago where some <ovf censored> of a steward took some ice cream off two very young lads.

Yeah I have to say whoever that jobsworth steward is that did that someone needs to have a word with him. Bang out of order from him but nice to see a positive experience otherwise.

I panicked then I won’t lie 😂 my friend has it on camera which he’s going to include in Matchday vlog (as I say we didn’t video the actual game, just my mates views). Stewards are like that nowadays sadly

i hate it when entering the ground six or so stewards are lined up makeing an alleyway for you to walk through, i asked them if it was a guard of honour! this is our club and not a prison camp.back off.

Always good to hear the view of an articulate neutral.  Generally, this is pretty positive stuff and should be something to remember when some of the serial moaners complain about everything.  Like everyone else, I struggle to understand the steward's instruction.

I mean when I entered this was the case, and I appreciate I’m a big bloke so might need six men to take me down but all I’m ever going to smuggle into a ground is cake

I always give credit where it is deserved. I think every club has a group of fans that moan a lot. Put it this way: my club (Cheltenham) have gone over 600 minutes without scoring a goal and have had 6 shots on target all season. It can always get worse 🤣

Alfie May was the last person to score for us. Since then he’s left us, joined the team he scored that goal against and scored twice for them 😂

Been informed by a supporter on Facebook that the guy in question might be like that regularly. I don’t know how true it is though

Perhaps they were looking for cake.  I must admit to being partial to a bit of cake but I’d never consider taking it into the ground.   Have your cake before the pub.

There's a bloke about 4 rows in front of me who takes tubs of actual meal in with him.

He's sat there at half time eating what looks like a roast dinner out of tupperware before now.
