League One 23/24

Looking forward to the playoff final. I like Barnsley as a club, always seems very well run and of course grateful of the comeback agains the Dons which tilted survival in our favour but I'm routing for Wednesday. Just to get rid of them out a league their budget doesn't belong in.
If Wednesday do go up with the teams coming down and those coming up I feel the league is going to be a lot more competitive next season from top to bottom.
Barnsley have beaten the Owls twice this season, just as we beat the Baggies twice prior to the L1 POs, so on that basis, Weds will win.

I'm surprised they didn't give a pen so Michael Smith could score yet another pen.

If the foul was on Marvin Johnson,he'd have dived/rolled over enough,to get to the penalty area for a pen

O well.

No more visits to the dangerous out of date dilapidated Hillsborough.

Let's see how many Smith scores without his penos next season.

And how many dives Johnson gets away with too.

My prediction for Vale is along the Alex Neil lines. If we finish 17th it's progress

Daft as it sounds Wednesday going up has cost us about 50 grand.

3000 away fans guaranteed to maybe 800 or so from Barnsley.

Wednesday going up also means that the crazy distortion of league 1 wages has lessened greatly this year, now there is only one 'Massive' club left in the league in Derby, and the two biggest spenders, Ipswich and Wednesday, have both gone, this can only be seen as a positive imo

Football wise I'd agree as we can't compete.

But the 3 who have departed brought 9000 fans between them. Over 200 grand in the Vale coffers.

A lot of money to a club our size.

Agreed, and I get what you are saying, but this will affect everyone in the league not just us,

Although granted we have one of the largest away allocations

Well let's hope Stevenage,Exeter and Cambridge go up then.

What a strange post-we are relying on opposition fans to pump money into our club?

Football wise we can't compete? Sheffield scored a worldie to beat us at home,Ipswich just about beat us at our place and scored 5 mins from the end at their place to beat us and we beat Plymouth away.
