My personal dislike is the allowing of up to a minute or more of players celebrating with fans, particularly when those fans are in the furthest possible corner of the ground (like at VP).

Add in the players going to ground after any challenge, the timewasting with goal-kicks and the slow walk off upon being substituted and it's easy to see why people would sack it off as a spectator sport.    

Remember the battle of Stamford Bridge a few seasons ago when spurs were trying to catch Leicester for the title?

Finished 2.2, 3 sent off (from memory?) And a hundred bookings.

They were flying in.

Everyone loved it, couldn't believe what they were watching.

You're brainwashed now into thinking all you want to see is possession passing and the infamous playing out from the back.

You also only want to see goals, not tackling.

 Every generation looks back with rose tinted specs to a degree but I honestly barely recognise footy anymore.

Except the video above proves conclusively that he DIDN'T  come in to early. The ball was bouncing back out of the net when he blew. He's completely lost it hasn't he.

He had, he’d completely gone.  It was pretty sad watching him fall apart actually.  I think it was one occasion where the chanting against the ref, and the extra pressure on him, actually worked against us.

With 'new' strikers about to come into the team as frequently as buses optimism amongst fans would be on a high.
