I’m fairly confident that fans would’ve been a lot more patient if the club just came out and say no signings yet, we’re still wading through d***heads.  Come on Carol tell it straight.

The process we go through to get a player or to make sure they are the right fit for the club seems fantastic to me

I think for those who were saying about someone needed to stay in the UK for recruitment while the squad went to Spain just shows how common place it is now to conduct business via Zoom call regardless of where in the world they were at.

DF said we've shown a player round the ground in person today and he was impressed with the new training zone. Maybe some of the players DC admits weve missed out on might have been swayed if the same was offered to them over those 9 days??

Its different for loan players as they're told where to go by their club. i don't doubt zoom is used for that sort of stuff. Free agents need convincing.

it's either df has wasted his time today by impressing the player with a tour or he should have been in the country giving these impressive tours instead of spending the entire 9 days in spain. cant have it both ways!!

I'm delighted the facilitys have been done up so we can impress players but i'm just not sure why we weren't doing it last week.

We haven't missed out on players due to everyone being away in fact i think one of the zoom calls when they were away was with the player shown around. We have missed out on players due to agent demands or the player just choosing a different club that they felt was better for them, whether right or wrong them all going away hasn't made any difference in signings

Some targets have asked for more than 6k a week and then a week later dropped it to 5k,that's nowhere near what we can get to as doesn't want to cause a split with new players getting more than those winning promotion BUT the wages will have high incentive bonuses

It may well have impressed them but ultimately I doubt it influences their decision. Lets be honest we'll have missed out on players due to us either not being willing or able to meet their demands. Whether we had someone to give them a guided tour is pretty minor. In any case there's been a lot of work ongoing to the stadium so maybe during that time they were away it wasn't really ideal to show them round at that time (I don't know that to be the case but may have contributed a reason)?
