I was stunned by the amounts that people were putting in, £5's £10's £20's even larger denominations from all age ranges. Our bucket was very heavy indeed. I was with the gentleman (Who offered to pay for the 2 away team coaches)who was outside the Railway stand. I must say we could have done with more buckets though.

A fan approached Micky Adams last night and offered to pay for the next Hotel costs for the team, Micky seemd genuinely moved

A fantastic effort from all concerned. It's things like this that make people realise just what superb fans this club has!. That's why Port Vale won't ever die. Keep the faith folks the Vale is well worth fighting for.

according to micky on radio, a lady gave him a cheque last night for £300 and had another cheque of £100 also donated, he sounded choked. :D

Put £20 in me-sen even though had a S/T outside the Bycars,was a bit concerned the collection was done outside the Bycars for the safety of the young ginger lad who was doing the collection,we do have some dodgy people in Bozlem

 

Martin Tidswell was outside the Bycars as well, I put my donation in his bucket.

I think the generosity of the vale fans at last nights game was totally amazing in every sense of the word.

 

For us working class people to be throwing £5, £10, £20 into the buckets with some folk as mentioned by Mickey sending cheques for hundreds of pounds is beyond belief.

 

This brings me to the point that Robbie Williams putting £20,000 is like us putting £20 in... So come on Robbie show you have black and white blood.....

Spoke to a mate of mine last night who suggested that we don't go to anymore away games and that instead we donate the gate and travel money that we would have spent to the Vale fund - why pay money to another club for a now meaningless game when we can help save the Vale.

 

We usually go to most away games, but will do this until the end of the season.
