Think a lot of people have got onto Haldane recently, but i thought that he had a really good game on Saturday, delivered much more than would expect from Dodds in my opinion. Good crossing, stayed on his feet and ran at players. Makes me think that Grew maybe told him to stop diving? and also how bad Rico's misses were. Let's hope was a bad day at the office for him. I also thought Popey was brilliant and I am quietly praying we can get him for next season.

I still dont know how one of them chances hasn't gone in for us. Maybe at the moment we're just not having the rub of the green and need a bit of luck.

 

Keep creating chances like that and we'll batter someone 4 or 5 which would give us the confidence and belief we need going into the final few games.

I notice he got his crosses in early this week but at one point in the second half he was fed just inside the box and he crossed blindly. Like any winger its about making the right decisions.

 

Attacking wise I feel we've got more threat with him than without him.

I thought Haldane had one of his better games on Saturday but he can't quite think as fast as he can run. He also needs perhaps one touch too many at times.

I agree. He was no where near the worst player on the pitch. Haldane and Loft kept the Bury players wide by using the width of the pitch to our advantage. Pleased to see him staying on his feet too and taking their players on. Judging by some of the comments from people around me on Saturday, I fear that Lewis is favourite to become the new target for the boo boys now that Exodus has gone.

Haldane was definitly better on Saturday and so were the whole team.

As Anthony Griffiths writes in his article, ' the team played with more spirit, like they did at the begining of the season and they have no respect for another clubs reputation'.

 

Play like they did on Saturday, ( but score goals) and they are capable of beating any team in that league.

That was kind of the point of my article, I hate the Vale boo boys, if we take only one lesson from our stripy, pie eating, beer swilling friends across the city it is that it is possible at times to practically cheer the ball into the back of the opponents net!! Something I'd love to see at Vale is everyone getting behind the boys and singing, unfortunately i think the section of our support that makes the most noise spends too long flashing 'V's' at whoever the opposition support is and singing the only 3 songs they know!

Spot on!!Last week v Hereford was great for 5mins .We should be roaring them on now that the idiot has departed.Who knows it could be the difference between going up and staying in this Div for another season.

Haldane had his best game this season in my opinion, and it seems that Grew must have told him to stop going down! Although I like Loft as a player, I'd fancy R.Taylor on the left as Lofty was very rarely there. I'd like us to really stretch teams with width as our best attacking comes out wide. Just my opinion of course. But really enjoyed Sat, and think that we were very unlucky! On to Tuesday....3 points please lads!!!!
