Have to say I sit right behind the goal in the bycars slightly to the right so had an excellent view of the lead up and the penalty. At no point did I think there was anything wrong with the build up regarding the ball being in play, didnt even enter my head. Will be an interesting one to see, but regardless I did think the ref had a mare but for both sides. He gave bookings needlessly and missed others.

 

However, a bit like our consistency that is what you get at this level.

I think Hess is right, Owen should have been sent off for rugby tackling that youth,and the ball was out for a throw. But frankly who cares, never liked the Gills ever since some Welsh idiot managed them.

The linesman was right by the incident therefore you can only assume the whole ball didn't go out....some of it most definitely did

Mine too and how Owen didn't at the very least receive a caution for dragging down Tomlin I don't know.

 

That said Hessenthaler's reaction in berating the assistant during the game and throwing water everywhere showed him up for the child hid height gives him away as.

I noticed he didn't mention the constant time wasting his team got up to before the equaliser. Neither did he mention the yellow card Griff got for a perfect ball-winning tackle in the first half.
