Quick trivia quiz - can anyone spot the current Vale coach playing in this match?

Ronnie Sinclair!  That was brilliant, Rob - thanks so much!

Gosh that was some game.........

Chapeau Rob

Points-with-Bone

Cheers for that - great memories of that game - was soaked through and no voice.

Thoroughly enjoyed that Rob thank you very much. A real "man's game". Goober MOTM, but Jinkin' JJ made a difference when he came on. I was thinking, if Manny could stay fit he could be the new Ian Taylor. Similar games.

Indeed, very enjoyable.

I'm glad you all enjoyed it.

I have my dad's old VHS player to enable me to do these digital copies and I must have watched that tape myself about 5-6 times during some of the recent dark Vale years.

It's right up there as one of my all-time faves and I'm personally really pleased that it can be seen in full online now.

An announcement on next week's game will come in the next few games. Sadly, I don't have 90 mins of the win over Spurs otherwise that would also make the list but I have got one I'd like to do for you all which I think you'll enjoy.

Good night and stay safe everyone.

Great game, had everything. What a terrific way to spend a lockdown evening. MOM for me Andy Porter but I almost gave it to Dave Regis - best miss ever!

Thanks, Rob!

Porter had a great game.

We had some wonderful players then didn't we?

Martin Foyle was a superb centre forward.

Boy, that was enjoyable!!   Thanks Rob, terrific stuff.  So many memories.  I was that tense I sat with my legs tucked under the seat, next morning I could hardly walk,  looked like my legs had been knifed, the seat had cut in to them that badly, never noticed during the match.  JJ down the tunnel, lol.  how stoke kept 11 on the pitch God knows , some disgraceful "tackles".   Some magnificent performances, porter, cross, swanny, glover, taylor etc.   A bad memory though was the scum hurling bricks from behind the Hami, through the night sky, on to Vale fans leaving the Paddock - saw an OAP hit on the head and collapse, terrible scenes - sadly all too typical of stoke fans,  Thanks again Rob.

Funny how time plays tricks with the memory, I was convinced it was a Regis back pass that got stuck in the puddle for Foyle to run on to for the third.

Many thanks Rob. A very enjoyable evening

Yeah, we did. Ray Walker (legend) getting stuck in there as well. Don't remember that as part of his game.

One team playing football though. The other trying to kick the oppo into intensive care. No prizes for guessing who. Thought the ref had a decent game.

In today’s game sjoke would have had 2 red cards.

the Foley assault on Aspo is one of the worst I’ve ever seen.
