As far as I can see no one on this thread is making racist comments, just reviewing Rose’s ill advised analogy.

 

People criticised Ashley Cole’s (myself included) comment about “nearly crashing the car” when hearing he had only been offered £50,000 a week at Chelsea. Pierre Van Hooijdonk also said that his proposed contract of £7,000 a week at Forest may be “OK for the homeless”

 

But these comments annoy the general football fan because of there crass stupidity and has little to with the colour of the commentators skin.

Gammon isn’t racist. It refers to a typical type of person who’s right wing,angry intolerant, xenophobic and generally unpleasant. It comes from there ruddy complexion
