McDonald and Roe Stay; Kozluk Leaves

Really don't understand keeping Roe and releasing Kozluk as we now have 3 left backs and only 1 right back in the squad.

 

Equally I would have kept Chilvers over McDonald.

 

Is the fact that we are keeping the younger cheaper players and releasing the more experienced players yet another sign??

I agree whereas O'Connor looks promising. Can't see him keeping them both on.

Agree, lets hope Chilvers re-appears in January, but if he does we appear over loaded with Centre Backs

notts county may not let chilvers return ......so i think mcdonald is there simply if mccombe or owen get injured.......adam yates has been solid again and works well with JMW and apart from one game .....imo kozluk looked poor

I am surprised that Roe is staying, as for MacDonald, I don't rate him. Although we kept a clean sheet last week, he gifted them two gilt edge goal scoring chances, sorry he does not do it for me

I think McDonald is significantly better than McCombe and Owen and I'm pleased he is staying. Chilvers is also much better than McCombe and Owen, but his max loan time is up and unless Notts County let him go and Port Vale can afford his wages he won't be back.

 

I don't have a beef with Owen or McCombe but they haven't shown me they are better than League 2 players and clearly Chilvers is and McDonald has played at a higher level. McDonald is a also a guy who can annoy the opposition by heading every ball out of the box the whole afternoon. Being a big guy one just has to make certain he doesn't get drawn out too wide. I also think he needs a bit more concentration.

 

Happy with Adam Yates but would like him to pick up a bit of Kuzluk higher division know how.

Would have let all 3 go, glad kozluk has gone he was useless, roe is no good and mcdonald is dodgy at the best of times.

I assume McDonalds contract takes into account that he is facing a court trial for rape in February or whenever, so if found guilty and sent down the contract ends then.

Im glad mcdonald is staying im not surprised kozluk has been released but i did expect roe be released as i dont think he has had a game for us.

Kozluk put in one of the most disgusting performances I've seen by a vale player, against morecambe.
