Saturday's Red Card Protest

Bede

Recommended Posts

I didn't take a red card yesterday but managed to avoid any abuse, which was progress on last time we had a red card protest. The same man was there but I didn't engage with him, I heard him say "don't you want one then" but at least he didn't swear at me this time.

I was chatting to the two lads who were handing out cards on the corner of the Synectics car park. They said one bloke had walked from his car and when offered a red card said "Who else is going to put money into the club?" The lads refrained from saying "You've just walked across their ******* car park!"

This is exactly the type that needs educating.

The sad thing about that statement is that they can not grasp that far from putting money into the club, Norman is only paying the overheads and rinsing every aspect of income from the club as is humanly possible, for his own personal accounts.

They fail to grasp that we don’t want someone to throw millions at it. It doesn’t need that. They fail to see that a successful business, on the doorstep, have offered over 4 million for the club, with great connections of further investment. They will also have a detailed business plan and a structure and bring the club and the community together, which has been derailed by Mr Compulsive Liar.

More importantly Carol and her husband are people of honesty and integrity. Not some Walter Mitty character playing football manager with a professional club.

Who else is there, is the only argument they have left. And it’s a pathetic one at best.

At least if he went at half time the message is getting through.

Amazing that the people in the directors box and ball boys were waving red cards at him.

Shame really the second half was brilliant but he missed it.

Must have had a previous business arrangement in Hamil Road.

Hope he remembered his green cross code when crossing over.

We don’t want him run over again before he can sell the club.

They don't seem too happy.

Probably disappointed as they arrived too late to get a red card as they had all been taken. Perhaps you should start a yellow card protest in support of Norman. Print off half a dozen , that should do it. No point in having too many left and wasting paper.

Sounds like the bloke I encountered. This isn't worth taking further from my own perspective.
