Request - a brief summary of WHY deakin/miller need to go

I won't be at the game on Saturday, but my dad most probably will, and he's a fairly casual fan, only started going to accompany me when I was younger. He doesn't know the ins and outs of what's going on off the pitch etc.

When I talk to him asking him to take part in the protests/red card etc on Saturday, what are the key FACTS I need to tell him so he understands the situation?

Same for anyone else who doesn't know the full story really, I haven't had time to follow everything word for word in the right order so if someone could step in that would be great...

Miller and Deakin engineered a situation for themselves where they were issued with shares without paying for them, and used those shares to seal their place on the board and their six-figure salaries which we pay for. All without putting a penny into the football club.

The previous board were so desperate to keep Mo out of the club that after the EGM they handed over the club to two carpetbaggers who "promised" a far-fetched £8 million investment.

Thats a great point. If you want more people to back the protests then the hearts and minds piece is very important. Its too easy to make the presumption that people have taken the time to read all the information that is available, and share the same opinion as you as a result.

I know a lot of people who dont use this website as it gets on their nerves and who also dont get the sentinel. If they have to rely just on the radio stoke coverage, what will their opinion be?

We all know that there have been incidents where non-protesters have been abused for simply not protesting, and we all know there have been incidents where non protesters have abused those who are chosing to protest. Depending on what info you have/know will alter peoples perceptions.

If the Red Card protest contains a snapshot of this info then this can only be a good thing, provided a. people are willing to read it, b. people aren't given stick for not already knowing this or choosing to have their own opinion.

In this case, I fail to see your argument.
