interesting on their forum someone named LT was going to leave then hasn't , then sold the ground and remained wonder if he is the front and name to satisfy the FA our owner isn't running 2 clubs..also some query as they were rumoured to be losing 50k per year and what happens when this money from the sale of the land runs out they will be back to sq 1 but without any assets

What a surprise, Vale are having a preseason game at Nuneaton too.

 

Why not? If we can have a preseason at Newcastle Town it's not much of a stretch to have one at Nuneaton Borough.

 

OK, I know about the Smurf connection but do you honestly think these friendlies happen irrespective of prior connections? I remember going to one at Oswestry years ago just after we'd sold Alan Boswell to them (and a good bit of business that was).

Considering that we've got a few back to back pre-season games coming up I can't imagine we'll be sending strong sides to some of them.

I'm sure the FA regulations concerning multiple ownership relates only to the football side rather than to who are the club's landlords. If Smurf finally sees sense and sells Vale, but still owns the ground, we could find ourselves in the same position.

I find it quite frightening that he obviously doesn't look in any detail at things he buys before agreeing to buy them. Always useful to know your rights to access land before you buy it.
