It seems Ms May called it wrong...

She was very wrong Barry... but its her call to make and she pays the price for the gamble on the face of it... but actually we all pay the price.

It seems neither of the two parties made significant progress, which in itself if worrying... the only real surprise for the parties so far is the SNP, who at the time of writing have lost 33% of its seats... perhaps a second indy ref isnt on the cards after all.

It will be interesting to see what happens next... torys calling for a bigger majority they didnt get and labour ruling out any deals on a hung parliament seems to leave us in no mans land.

Democracy eh?

Don't you just love it Geo :yes:

A reasonably big turn-out;

SNP losing seats;

UKIP sliding further into political oblivion;

And Labour seems to have benefited from the 'young' vote.

You can bet the EU are now relishing the Brexit Battle.

Its a decent turnout, labour seem to have done well with the young vote but not very well across the country as a whole, tories? shockingly bad, bad gamble to take but as clegg says... live by the sword etc.

Brexit at the moment is a disaster, very poor negotiation position.

Given labour have ruled out a deal with the SNP and the SNP wont work with the tories I wouldnt be surprised if another election is called very soon... oh dear.

It seems the spin is well under way

SNP 27... lost 18

Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon says the SNP "has won the election in Scotland"

Angus Robertson SNP leader in Westminster and former leader Alex Salmond both lost.Scotland has spoken.I wonder when "mandate" and "independence referendum " will next come out of Sturgeon's mush?
