Personally I can't believe that anyone doesn't think PB is NS. Don't know the real Hugh, but if he's an IT millionaire he wouldn't have spouted the complete codswallop that PB did when making up the e-mail security story....amongst many other things.

Can't the moderators tell if the accounts all come from the same IP address. I'm sure forums have that ability so they can ban people. Either way I've got my popcorn ready.

Rob does all the vetting of new members, and yes this includes checking for same IP addresses.

 

Back when I did some of the vetting I noticed, amongst other things:

 

*Several members used more than one IP address e.g. work & home;
*Members in the same family household shared a desktop with 1 internet account; and
*In the days of pre-aid internet the IP address would change when adding a new card.

 

Like all things in life, and regardless the checks and balances OVF has in place, if someone chooses to deliberately create a false IP trail they will.

I think given the topic of the thread and the information provided in the original post, your contrary stance is bound to raise suspicion. The fact your very first posts came straight to this thread and the Smurf one says a lot. Don't know who you are personally, you could be close to Smurf, who knows, you may even be someone that likes a good argument that has recently said they'd never post on here...who knows.

I'm reasonably confident that Norman is PENNY BLACK. This new Martino character however is just a wind up by somebody else entirely. It wouldn't surprise me if it was the same unfortunate who was behind at least one of The Charlatans / Trentham Valiant / Robbie H in the old days.
