Sounds like he's off then, as why would you need to make an announcement if the status quo was being maintained? Last throw of the dice for PVFC I feel, a massive gamble to turn to a bloke with 2 games managerial experience when promotion is not only desired, it is needed to prevent the rot becoming terminal.

Its difficult to see Gannon's rationale. Bringing in a new holding midfield player and playing him immediately when there are perfectly competant fit proven players seems folly. And what message does it send to the other members of the squad. Gannon has his favourites who get picked whatever they do. When I saw the team on Saturday I was surprised (!). Sure enough the stats showed no on target attempts on goal. Were we playing for a draw?

I had felt sorry for Exodus. It seemed to me he was played out of position in midfield and we have better defenders on th bench. Nothing personal but I wish he would do one! Quickly folled by Mr Gannon. And don't the board need to 'consider their position.' They appointed the manager, shouldn't they take some responsibility for the questionable team selection and confusing tactics.

The board's responsibility is to run the finances and appoint and support a competant manager. Their tracke record on both counts speaks for itself.

I'm surprised you're even giving Gannon the time of day after what your brother witnessed.

As for shots , we have been lucky to get 2 on target per game since he came. If thats carpet football ******** to it. If he was any bigger a **** he'd fall in half.

The blame for the whole situation needs to be put at the feet of the board. The picked the wrong guy, kept there "warchest" so did not pay Horsefield up and allow Jim to bring in his own assistant and stopped money been made available for our promotion push.

 

Jim is not the right man for Vale, but the board are the cancer of our whole club.
