I think whoever comes in next should bring his own backroom staff with him. We must not repeat the same mistakes time and time again.

just had a phone call of a mate to say he has been informed that gannon has resigned earlier today . Could be just a rumour so dont shoot the messenger .Fingers crossed its true .....Anyone else heard ????..

Let's get behind Geoff until the end of the season. The worst that could happen would be for the board to appoint a total idiot again on a long (ish) contract. With Mo's takeover just around the corner this is the most sensible option, leaving Mo to pick his own man.

Come on folks get real. This is Port Vale and If Lucky Jim isn't so lucky and has gone dont expect anything more than the Horse and Grewy. It makes sense as we would have to pay Gannon off no doubt and if the Simple Six were to bring in a new man and his own men then they have to get rid of and pay off Geoff and Grewy.

This is the best all round hopefully a 'nice new chairman' will be in place at the end of the season and he will be able to bring in his own new manager.

Just listened to the 7.20 sports bulletin on Radio Stoke. Do Vale even exist? Crewe, Stoke, Chelsea (when did they move to Staffordshire?) all got a mention but not a dickiebird about the Vale.

My main annoyance is that many of the fans so passionately baying for gannons and exodus's blood dont seem to care either way what happens to the board. Gannon has created most of his problems for himself, but has also had his job made more difficult by those idiots looking after their own positions rather than what is best for the club. THey haven't learnt from their mistakes from the sinnott/glover era and yet they still think they are doing "a good job".
