Congratulations Perry Deakin

If they had the best interests of Vale at heart we would not be "we are where we are"

It is evidently clear that they did not, never did and put themselves first, that is why

"we are where we are"

However, maybe change is happening, never the change we wanted, Llloyd will still put his own self interests ahead of Vale. It isnt and never was "for us all" it was always a pack of lies.

As a NEW Business Paying Customer with a Vice Presidents Package at Vale Park, I have to say that both my dealings with the new Commercial Department and also the actual service/facilities received are both well below the standards to be expected.

1. Payment – It took the commercial department 5 weeks to issue an invoice for the package that we requested and were chasing them all of this time. When it was issued it was incorrect, and we ended up having to go in to see them to ensure that we were able to make a timely payment due to their errors.

2. Facilities Offered – We were shown round the facilities that would be available to us on a match day, including access to the Vice Presidents Lounge. On the first match day we were informed that this would not be available to us as this was now the sponsors lounge. It was a complete farce

3. Match Day Presentations –We were also informed that we could attend the man of the match presentations in the valiant suite after the match. On the first match we were told that these would now be in the Vice Presidents suit for which we now no longer have access.

4. General Atmosphere – The atmosphere in the Valiant Suit prior to a match is extremely poor. The layout of the room is all wrong, and I would have considered upgrading my deal by a further £50 at selected games for meals, but the fact that there are about two tables stuck up the corner of the room, does not give a very professional feel and so I will not be doing this.

The Commercial team need to look very hard at the arrangements for Corporate Hospitality as I am less than impressed with it. I have heard several other people with the same package complaining at the games, so I know I am not alone.

As a potential future sponsor of the club, at this rate I doubt it that we will be investing further unless things improve.

Re point 2, I understand that the old sponsors suite is now Perry Deakin's office which is why you cant use it!!

Strange how the presentations have been moved from the valiant suite, bit of a joke if you ask me.

The corporate package is toss, soup and sandwiches at half time for £2.50 a pop! Its so amatuer, why not throw some sausage and chips in there for good measure and be a proper pub side.

But I thought Perry was doing a cracking job? !!

I have heard from a few disgruntled box holders who are not happy with the pricing or standard of catering.

The man is doing a brilliant job;

Loads of extra advertising around the ground

Two stands sponsored

Loads of boxes sold

Involved in the new investment

BUT people who want to be negative, slag him off.

The best thing V2001 have done was appointing him.

I wait for the flak, but I don't care.

P.S. They can't take claim for Micky, because that was Harlequin.

I'm inclined to agree with you. It's early days yet but the signs are encouraging. Unlike Bratt, who was happy to sit on his backside hoping that someone would come knocking on his door offering him money, Deakin appears to be far more proactive. I think that Bratt thought he'd done his bit after he'd helped bail out the club. A bit like passing a few GCSEs and thinking you've got a job for life!!All those wasted years!!

What I can't understand about Perry Deakin is, if he is so good at his job, why was he allowed to leave Birmingham, Derby ahd Northants CCC?

Maybe he's found his niche with Vale,Jean. You know what they say 'in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king'!!

When PD said the advertising had gone from 26K to 96K (or there about) with this huge increase then surely this must include the sponsoring of the stands by the catering and beer company? OR?

Now he later also goes on to say that the catering/beer contracts will bring into the club X amount more over the terms of the deals but I have to wonder is the stand sponsorship also included as part of the catering/beer contracts? Tho not exactly telling fibs there is great scope for lots of overlap concerning the finances being used in both statements.

I guess its a bit like saying season ticket numbers aren't that much down compared to last season when the number could include all the 'Free' ones given away with the advertising. (if that is true)

Where are people getting the £25k figure from for the stadium naming rights? Is it hearsay or has this actually been quoted somewhere?

It was the offer made to Broxap. A stand for £10,000 and the ground naming rights for £25,000 per year minimum 2 years.
