Chairman Norman Smurthwaite has said the club may sign up to four new players in the near future. I also think the wings could be a problem, in particular LW with Kelly who I don't see as the long term option at there.

If Thomas stays fit doesn't that sort out the LW problem (with Kelly either on loan or on the bench for the odd cameo and hopefully occasional wondergoal)? If so, doesn't that mean that the right wing is the problem? I think we could ideally do with something similar - an experienced first-choice with Mbamba as a sub.

So that would be -

LW Thomas (Kelly understudy)

RW - New signing (Mbamba understudy)

I tend to think if you sort the wings out and play two upfront then the strikers we have (particularly Hooper) may start finding the net if they are given service.

Also, if Forrester is off the pace/unfit is it worth giving him a half-season loan somewhere (to get back to fitness)? We know what a loan spell did for the likes of Jordan Hugill and if we are getting in another striker we can afford to loan at least one of the current ones out.

Jesus christ I totally forgot about Thomas. That'll teach me for trying to get a post on quickly whilst at work. Yes RW. I don't see Foley as the answer on the RW and Mmbamba is inexperienced too.
