Smurthwaite: Vale may bring up to FOUR new signings in
Chairman Norman Smurthwaite has said the club may sign up to four new players in the near future.
Vale have been strongly linked with adding a new striker and winger but Smurthwaite says that the club could now bring in up to four new additions. The signings could potentially include two strikers (with one being a permanent move) while there is also possible moves for a winger and a left-back.
The news will be a boost for Vale fans after the disappointing League Cup exit to Carlisle. Vale looked short of goals in that game so the addition of strikers and a winger will come as welcome news. With new signing Kiko injured, a move for a left-back to cover that position also makes sense.
The Valiants have already signed fourteen new players this summer and with a squad numbering more than 30 it is expected that several Valiants will be loaned out to make way for the new arrivals.
Thought l should put some time before reflecting on last night. This morning the management staff are under no illusions of our requirements
