Ok, as a CEO, I appreciate he would be expected to be busy dealing with club business. However Melv raises some very genuine issues and perhaps if the club communicated the true situation and reasons for rejecting investors, then perhaps there would be a lot more trust and the club would be a lot more united.

I appreciate the points you make but these things are always very commercially sensitive and I cannot talk about the current negotiations at the moment without being in breach of contract.

 

What I can say is that you have never heard about investment from me and I hope that this counts for a little. I am personally involved with this one and can absolutely assure you it is very exciting for the club and will be finalised in a very short period.

 

I do not believe any of the investors you list are currently in negotiation with us.

to be fair because he is the CEO he should be involved in any investment talks

Who knows, he thought last season was exciting, I would have said disappointing. Perhaps I will have the same opinion on the this years investment outcome as well.

Deakin is a bit of an enigma, on one hand the Nantwich debacle... on the other hand Greene King and the sale of boxes.

 

He is very well connected with the likes of Karren Brady, so I'm going to sit on the fence and see what he comes up with.
