My problem with these signings are we are going to end up with 7 young lads who have never played in England and are going to be dropped in to Stoke on Trent not knowing the area or the culture of the UK, not knowing anyone and having no friends or family here. Will they settle and more importantly are they all going to become a team from now until the 6th of August.

We really do need a couple of experienced British type players to make up the back bone of the team but I don’t see this happening with loans.

 

We do still have Foley and Grant you know!

Whatever folk say about Adam Yates, I genuinely feel that even though he probably won't play regularly, we are going to need someone with his common sense and experience around the dressing room to help these young foreign lads settle in.

We have that in Alnwick, Purkiss, Grant, Foley and Brown.

 

I do agree i'd like to see an Andy Williams / Craig Davies up top and an experienced vociferous centre half.
